Our Mission Statement

Kinder Park Nursery’ aims to provide a high standard of care and education in a safe, stimulating, caring and homely environment with qualified and experienced staff. We are committed to provide an anti-discriminatory environment for all those who use the nursery.

About Kinder Park Nursery

The nursery day starts at 8.30 a.m. and finishes at 5.30 p.m. for fifty weeks of the year closing for two weeks over Christmas and New Year and Bank Holidays.

The early years are important and formative and as a team we understand the process involved in babies and children’s growth, development and learning. We offer a constant environment that is available daily to children both indoors and outdoors. It allows children of all ages’ freedom, independence and choice and is safe but challenging yet recognises the need for children to be active learners.

At Kinder Park we ensure that 85% of staff are qualified to Level 3 in children’s Care, Learning and Development with other members of the staff team holding a Level 4 qualification and working towards a foundation degree. We strongly promote continuous professional development with all staf. The staff have individual training records and training plans to enhance their skills and expertise.

Recently we were successfully appointed Leading Early Years Practitioners, we work in partnership with our Early Years and Childcare Team to promote and raise quality childcare by welcoming practitioners from other settings to visit and observe our nursery practice and environment.

Snacks and Lunches

During Term Time we offer a nutritious two course lunch, freshly prepared on the premises by our cook, Anita, available for children over 2 years old. Our menu has been based on the same guidelines that schools adhere to.

For example;
No less than two portions of fruit and vegetables per day on offer.
Milk or dairy products on a daily basis.
Savoury crackers or bread sticks to be offered only with fruit, vegetables or dairy products.

In addition to this the children are offered a healthy fruit and vegetable snack mid morning and mid afternoon sessions and a late afternoon snack at 4.30 p.m. There will always be a selection of breads and fruit available throughout lunchtimes. Lunch and snacks are served with a drink of milk or water. Special dietary requirements will be catered for.

Please note: During school holidays parents need to send a healthy packed lunch for their child.
