Parents as Partners

"Parents/Carers are children's first and most enduring educators. When parents/carers and practitioners work together in early years settings, the results have a positive impact on children's development and learning" E.Y.F.S

All families are important and can be assured of a friendly welcome from the staff, this helps create effective communication enabling information and knowledge to be shared between parents/carers and practitioners. This results in a positive impact on the child's learning and development. Parents/Carers can visit the setting at any time and if they have a special skill or interest e.g. cookery, music, dance or gardening they are welcome to share this with the children.

We have two parent's representatives who are involved in our monthly review of the nursery policies and procedures and their comments and suggestions are valued.

Parents/Carers comments are welcome and comment boxes are located outside each nursery room for ideas, comments and suggestions.
