Parents and carers are welcome to visit the setting at any time. If you have a special skill or interest—such as cooking, music, dance, or gardening—we would love for you to share it with the children.
We value the exchange of information between home and nursery. Observations of your child’s progress, interests, and achievements—whether made at home or in nursery—help us build a complete picture of their development.
Your Child’s Online Learning Journey
Each child has an online ‘FAMLY’ learning journey, which includes:
- Observations made by staff
- Photos and videos
- Notes on learning and development
This digital profile grows throughout your child’s time with us, offering a rich record of their experiences and achievements. Parents can add comments, share home learning moments, and contribute to the profile at any time. This helps us understand your child’s interests and the learning they enjoy outside nursery.
Opportunities to discuss your child’s progress are available during parent evenings or whenever needed.
“All About Me” Information
When your child starts nursery—and as they move through different rooms—you will be asked to complete an “All About Me” questionnaire. This helps us understand your child’s preferences, routines, interests, and the approaches used at home, ensuring continuity and personalised care.
Listening to Parent Feedback
We are committed to continually improving our service. Parent surveys are sent periodically via email or Family to gather your thoughts and suggestions. Your feedback helps us maintain the highest standards of care.
We also welcome parent representatives to take part in our monthly review of nursery policies and procedures. All comments and ideas are valued.
Joining In
Parents are encouraged to be part of nursery life. This may include:
- Supporting your child during their settling-in period
- Attending stay-and-play sessions
